Stationary Ateliers CASTELNAUDARY, France
At the farm of St. Henri, 33 hectares
(approximately 82 acres) dedicated to creation, the St. Henri
Association offers since 1991, space for artists from different
countries to bring together their different perceptions, exchange
their points-of-view about art, and share their experiences.
They live and create together during the months of July and
August in international summer encounters that draw roughly
thirty artists, plasticiens (or installation artists), and designers.
During these encounters, artists can create freely and are given
the needed materials to realize their projects or works. The
spaciousness of St. Henri gives artists the freedom to create
on a large scale if they desire.
Since 1991, the St. Henri Association has welcomed 278
artistes from 33 different countries: Argentina,
Benin, England, France, Hungary, Mali, Niger, Pakistan, Russia,
Spain, Togo, Vietnam… Since the association was founded,
more than 2,000
art works were “born” in St. Henri.
BENAOCAZ, the ANDALUSIA Atelier
In 1999 the association established an artists residence in
the Andalusian village of Bénaocaz (www.benaocaz.es).
Every year during the months of December and January, it welcomes
three artists to express their artistic vision of Andalusia.
